Residential Inverters: Typically ranging from 1 kW to 10 kW, these are designed for home photovoltaic (PV) systems. They are characterized by their compact size, ease of installation, and plug-and-play capability; some models also feature emergency power functions, supplying electricity to critical loads during grid outages.

Commercial and Industrial Inverters: Ranging from 10 kW to 1 MW, these are suitable for commercial buildings, factories, and similar facilities. They require support for multiple MPPT inputs to accommodate PV arrays with varying orientations and shading conditions, while offering high efficiency (typically >98%) and low harmonic distortion (THD <3%).

Centralized Inverters: With power ratings exceeding 1 MW, these are primarily used in large-scale ground-mounted PV power plants. They offer high per-unit power output and low costs but require dedicated transformers and monitoring systems, as well as robust grid adaptability.

String Inverters: Ranging from 20 kW to 300 kW, these combine the advantages of centralized and residential inverters, making them suitable for medium-sized PV plants and projects on complex terrain. Their modular design facilitates expansion and maintenance, while support for intelligent string optimization helps further increase power generation.
